Do fake nails bought at a drug store ruin your nails as much as at the salon done ones?

it depends on the tools and the product that a nail tech uses!





i am a nail tech and i concentrate on minimal nail damage so i use a gel called biosculpture which is excellent! i also blend all tip by hand and DO NOT use any metal or motorised files/buffers!





Professional ones do last alot longer and so over time there is alot less glue damage than drug store tips although for a one of they can be better as long as you dont yank them off!





the ones with the sticky stuff are awful and do not stick! if you are to use nails from a drug store (which i do when im in a rush!) use the ones that attach with glue

the drug store ones dont usually last as long therefore your nail is still more intact once they do fall off or are pulled off.


The glue it comes with is what rips apart your nail leaving it thin and brittle when they are forced off, and the sticky ones dont usually make it thru the night while you sleep.


its pretty much a pick your poison deal.


if you have a friend to help you i would go with the nail glue ones just dont use to much and make sure she does them even! No they dont they will mostly never ruin ur nails they might leave glue on ur nails but that comes off really easily. The ones at the salon are really really bad! they can damage ur nails really badly! and once u gwt them and they come off you have to get them again and again and tht is bad cuz ever time you have to get new ones you have to use up like $20 to $40 and tht sucks! soo yea hope this helps ohh and the best stick on ones are KISS brand. here is a site to go look at them.

No not nearly as muich and they hurt a lot less ot take off. And the glue that comes wth it. its much easier to use
