soak your nails in nail polish remover{鈾
use pure acetone. it's found in nail polish remover but that formula is not that strong. Find pure acetone solution from your local beauty supply store such as Sally Beauty Supply.
Well, from personal experience, you can go to a store and get get specific liquids!
Firstly hot water will make the glue set. Try soaking them in cold water-NOT! hot. Let them soak for a while but check on them. Then once the glue looks like it's coming off, very carefully get some twezzers %26amp; peel it off that way. Otherwise go back to where you brought them %26amp; maybe they might have a suggestion.

Calm down sweetie. What you need is nail polish remover with acetone in it. Check you nail polish
remover. If it doesn't have acetone in it get some.
Then soak your finger in the remover. The acetone will eat away at the glue. That is how I removed my acrylics.I got one of those stupid fake nails stuck on my nail!?
I'm glad you got it off. Thanks for the best answer.

Why do the WWE divas wear fake nails and super high heels so often especially Layla?
The divas of wwe wear high heels and fake nails a lot.Why do the WWE divas wear fake nails and super high heels so often especially Layla?
Well,a lot of women wear fake nails, and high heels. That's just what women do.I don't see why the WWE Divas should be excluded. Why do the WWE divas wear fake nails and super high heels so often especially Layla?
lol who cares, look at the wrestling, not the nails...
Maria, Candice and Ashley suck!
to look like strippers and hokers
Okay.
Nice of you to notice.
people should be concerned with these divas getting hurt in the ring with these botched moves.
this is why wwe needs to stop hiring divas. if i dont know a thing about wrestling, why would i risk some type of paralizing injury by doing some type of hurracanrana or back flips.
i wanna see some girls wrestle, not just pulling hair and messing up wrestling moves. dont give me any filler.
i love melina and beth phoenix because they can wrestle.
The fake nails cover up their own. A lot of women bite, chew or otherwise maim their fingers %26amp; nails. The fake ones helps to prevent this. Plus when done nicely, they look great.
The heels are because some of those women are short %26amp; they need the height of the heels to look taller on camera. Men who watch the Divas are also oogling at the sexiness of their legs in the heels.
Because that's what women do sometimes. Layla's hot so get over it.
Because Vince thinks all women on his show should dress like prostitutes
i think all the divas are dumb all they do is yell and throw eachother around.. yes its fake.. but come on!!! they should just use them as props and not wrestle!
because there girls thats what girls do, if you mean wrestling then they dont wear high heels wrestling but they do wear fake nails
they wear fake nails cuz there real nails are ugly i guess , and they wear high heels cuz there short and they wanna look taller!?
Cuz they look hotter when they get naked, which is pretty much all their good for these days anyway.
why do you want yo know this?
to match their breast
Because they are whores and that's what whores wear.

How do i take off my fake nails i got done at a salon?
i got them done about a month ago and they look really bad now.i dont want to continue getting them re-done, so are there any ways i can take them off at home? please dont say pull them off because i tried that and it doesnt work..How do i take off my fake nails i got done at a salon?
go to the store and get acetone for a couple bucks... fill a glass bowl and soak your nails... the acetone will eat away the fake nails and make it gooey and easy to scrape off... do not just pull them off that destroys your nails!!! acetone is what they use at the salon to get them off..
edit: acetone is different than regular nail polish remover. I'm not sure if regular remover would even work and if it did it would take longer... you should be able to find acetone by the nail polish and removers section of the storeHow do i take off my fake nails i got done at a salon?
You can just go to the salon and have them take them off I think they'll charge you like 5-7 dollars for it. They are really hard/painful to remove yourself but what you CAN do is go to the store and by acetone fake nail (acrylic) remover and soak them in there and then file them down. Good luck!
youre supposed to soak them in acetone nail polish remover and i guess they just come off after that.
but i usually just pull mine off so idk what to tell you unless you have npr
soak them in nail polish remover,. it takes about 30 min but its painless.

My girl friend wants to put fake nails on me?
My gf thinks it would look cute if she put glue on nails on me. She planned on taking me to the mall. I owe her big time, so I kind of half to do this. She said she's going to pick them up by next Saturday and put them on then. So I'd like them of before school. So, how easy are these to take off by your self and how do you do it?My girl friend wants to put fake nails on me?

You have a really weird girlfriend. Why do you let her treat you like this? I mean you do have a say about your own body!
Glued nails are extremely hard to get off, well not the nails itself, just the glue. You will have to let it grow out and that will look VERY ugly.
That's kind of.......odd.
But Bill Kaulitz pulls it off.

um dipp then in some good nail polish remover and that should work. lol
Wow painting nails is one thing, but putting fake nails on a guy. That's really weird.
Soak your hands in warm water%26amp;like hand soap. Then they are easier to pull off.
They *** up your real nails though. and take like months to strengthen again.
hahahahaha that sucks man, they are really hard to get off. good luck

Fake nails for nail biters?

thanks so much!

Fake nails will always need to be mantained because your nail grows under it. But you can try wraps that are really hard and paint them with speciall nail polish made for nail bitters (it tastes nasty) untill your nail grows out.

What kind of fake nails allow u to change looks often (once or 2 times a week ) ?
i want to get fake nails that have a pink base and a white tip (french) BUT i want to be able to apply different nail colors to it
in other words i want to be able to remove the color and have french manicure underneath it .. is that possible ? and when u have fake nails can u use nail polish on them or u have to keep them the way they made them at the salon ? what kind of fake nails should i get ?What kind of fake nails allow u to change looks often (once or 2 times a week ) ?
Yes it is possible to have a french manicure and paint over it. It's usually called a pink and white set. This way you can paint over the white tips and change the polish as frequently as you want, yet keep the white part underneath. You can use your own polish, just be sure to use polish remover that is non-acetone. Arcylic nails are usually the most durable if done properly.asian makeup

And i'm tryin to figure out a good way of taking them off without going to the nail place. I've tried just popping them off but it doesnt work. What's a good way to take off my fake nails?
It depends on exactly what type of nails you have.
If you went to a nail salon, and the nail technician applied a liquid %26amp; powder to your nails, then you have acrylic nails. If she applied a gel in layers, and 'cured' your nails under a special UV light in between each layer, then you have gel nails. There is an important distinction to be made here between acrylic, and gel nails. A common scam used by the 'discount salons' (cheap nails $15-25 for a full set, no appointment needed, usually a big language barrier, like the kind you would find in a Wal-Mart - these are 'discount salons) is this: You ask for gel nails, they say OK. Then they apply liquid and powder arylic on your nails and finish it off with a UV topcoat, and call them gel nails. They sometimes refer to the powder as being ';powder gel.'; There is no such thing as ';Powder gel.'; Gel looks exactly like it sounds - its a gel-like consistency product. There are NO liquid or powders used in real gel nails. Well, if this is what you have, you do not have gel nails. You have acrylic nails, but were told that you got gel nails, and probably paid like $15 or more extra. In short, you got ripped off.
Back to removal of nails:
If you have real gel nails, you have to go to a salon to have them removed. Most brands of gel cannot be soaked off, though there are some that can be but they are uncommon. When done properly, a technician will file them down most of the way to your natural nail, then it will have to grow out from there (by hand usually - beware of the ';Dremel'; using techs, they will almost certainly ruin your nails).
No matter what kind of nails you have, DO NOT pull them off, tear them off, or let any tech do this to you either. You WILL have damage to your natural nail because several layers of your nail will come off with the 'fake' nail. Not good!
If you have acrylic nails, you will need:
- Pure Acetone. Don't use nail polish remover. Look for bottles marked ';Pure Acetone.'; This will give the best results.
- Cotton balls
- Tin Foil cut into about 4 inch by 4 inch squares. You will need 10 (one for each nail).
- Orange sticks, or a good metal cuticle pusher
- Some paper towels, or an old towel to work on.
- Hand lotion, cuticle oil or cream
- Nail clippers
- Good quality nail file(s) of 100 or 150 grit
The steps to remove your acrylic nails:
- First, use the nail clippers to remove as much of the acrylic nail as possible from the nail extension (the 'free edge'). Avoid cutting your natural nail, only trim the acrylic part off. You may also file it down with a nail file instead of using clippers.
- Use a 100 or 150 grit nail file to gently remove some of the acrylic from the entire nail surface. Be careful that you do not take off too much - just a thin layer is sufficient - and do not file down to your natural nail. This will damage them. Note: This step is NOT necessary. It will speed things up though. Perform this step only if you are careful with the nail file. If you feel unsure in any way, skip this step.
-Then, wipe or brush off any dust from the filing process.
- Place some paper towels, or an old towel onto your work surface to protect it from the acetone and to scrape the acrylic onto. It can be just a little messy. And acetone can eat the paint, or the finish off of your table - especially if it is made of wood.
- Apply a thin layer of lotion, or cuticle oil -or cream - to the skin around the nails including the cuticle area. Avoid getting it on your nails, you only should have it on your skin in order to help protect it from the drying effects of soaking in acetone.
- Moisten a small cotton ball in the acetone. Avoid oversoaking it. You only need it to be moist, and not dripping wet.
Place the moistened cotton ball over one of your fingernails, making sure to cover the nail completely.
- Pick up a pre-cut piece of tin foil and wrap it around the tip of your finger fairly tightly. When done, it should completely cover the cotton ball, and feel snug against your skin. Be certain that the cotton ball has not moved, and is still covering your nail completely.
- Repeat the cotton ball step on the next nail, then once again cover it with tin foil.
- Do this to all 10 nails
- Wait about 20-25 minutes.
- Now you can begin to remove the acrylic from your nails. One at a time, and only one, remove the foil, along with the cotton from one finger. Do not remove all of the cotton/foil from your nails as it will harden back up in a minute or two.
- Working quickly, but carefully, take an orange stick or cuticle pusher and begin to scrape the acrylic off of your nail. Start at the cuticle area and work forward toward the free edge. If it doesn't all come off within a short time, then just take off what you can and place the cotton and foil back onto your nail and wait another 5 or so minutes, and try again. In the meantime, whilt that nail is soaking again, you can move on to another nail and start removing the acrylic from it. Then after 5 or so minutes, just go back to the other one you just re-soaked and try again. It should come off now.
- Repeat this process for all 10 nails - one at a time. Like I said, the acrylic WILL harden back up very quickly, so you only want to work on one nail at a time, leaving all the others covered until you finish the one you are working on. Continue scraping - gently - until all the acrylic has ben removed.
- When done, wash your hands thoroughly, and then give your nails and hands a good covering of hand lotion to help them regain any moisture lost from the removal of the acrylic.
A few important reminders:
Acetone is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. DO NOT smoke anywhere near it, or while performing any of these removal steps. DO NOT go near any open flames or sparks while using acetone, or while it is on your nails. Be careful about this part. Its no joke, this stuff is extremely flammable. It will go up in flames very easily. Acetone nail polish remover is no exception either. Its made of the same basic thing- acetone, and a few other things added to it. As soon as you are done with it, put the cap on immediately, and store properly. Avoid spilling it if at all possible. Wipe up any spill immediately with an old rag, or paper towels, and dispose of in a place where they will not be subject to heat, open flames, or sparks of any kind. Better yet, just use a wet sponge, wipe it up, and thoroughly rinse the sponge when finished.
- If the acrylic does NOT come off after 30 or 35 minutes of soaking, then the chances are very good that you have had a product called MMA used on your nails. This is a substance which is made for, among other things, dental work. It is NOT approved for use on nails, and can be quite hazardous to a persons health, especially if overexposure occurs. If you find that the acrylic is just not coming off at all, you will need to go to a professional nail tech to have it removed. DO NOT go back to the place you had them applied at in the first place! They will ruin your nails by either ripping them off (and that hurts quite a bit, and will ruin your nails too), or usingt a Dremel to file them down - usually way too far than needed.
You need to find a reputable, licensed salon, with good nail techs who have dealt with this issue before. They will either hand file them, or use what is called an efile (It is NOT a dremel, but rather a small unit on top of the nail table with a handpiece. Dremels almost always hang from a stand next to the techs table. DO NOT let them use this on you. They are made for woodworking, NOT nails.
Or the nail tech will soak them off for you, or a combination of the two. Be prepared to spend a long time there as it can take up to two or more hours to remove MMA nails. If you have them, don;t ever go back to the place that put them on - almost always a discount salon - because it is so cheap to buy, just like the rest of the products they use. They only buy what is the cheapest, hence the low prices.
Hope this helps. and sorry its so long! What's a good way to take off my fake nails?
Funny I just finished doing it myself...I crack them right in the middle or side with nail clippers..then little by lttle peel them off...either way it kinds hurts...... :/
there's a fake nail remover at wal mart or other places that works with you dipping and soaking your nails in it and it makes them peel off easily it's looks like a jewelry cleaner container. check it out. hope i help i think cutex makes it. or try sally's beauty supply. i know cutex makes it for sure at wal mart. hope this works
ok well the way people do it when they don't want to go in and spend money on just taking them off is
1. they soak their nails in nail polish remover for a long time.
2. they then try to peel them off. if that doesn't work then..
3. get scissors or a little knife to scrape it off.
this is wat me, my friends, and my mom does.
hope this helped. hope u get them off good without hurting urself at all. good luck
Soak them in fingernail polish remover since the glue they use can be taken off with that. You can also file them off, that's what my friend does and her mom's a stylist so it must be a proper way. lol

You can also file them off, that's what my friend does and her mom's a stylist so it must be a proper way. lol
soak them in warm water for about 10-30 minuets
How to convince my mom to let me have fake nails?
ok so i already glue my nails and then i go to the nail salon and let them paint them but i want gel or acrylic. i already glue em on but i want them to last longer and look real. How to convince my mom to let me have fake nails?
Honestly I had acrylic nails for a long time and once I took them off and my natural nails were all rough because they filed the top of your nails so the acrylic will stay better, and they are a pain to take off, they have to be soaked off, which takes an hour and a half for the acrylic to completely dissolve. I don`t know about you but I really can`t sit in one place for an hour and a half unless I`m watching a movie. If you break a nail...ew it hurts bad my friend.
Honestly they are such a pain. Get a manicure on your natural nails and have them painted, it saves so much money and it does not mess up your nails.
But in the end you do what you want, and if your willing to put up with those acrylics then good luck to you.
Hope that helped!
Good Luck!
--Kenzie--How to convince my mom to let me have fake nails?
A part time job that would take care of the expense and the maintenance that has to be done on them might help. Also, a GOOD salon preps the nail better than you can and in the long run, because of the way they take care of your cuticles and conditioning, etc. it is better for your nails. Nothing is better than not putting on fake nails period, but going to a good salon is safest. By a good salon, I don't mean the cheap ones at the malls or strip malls. Look for a day spa or an Aveda salon. Yes, it will cost a bit more but they keep things more sanitary and use higher quality products as well as take good care of your nails at removal time. It is also a good idea to take your own manicure kit. Most good salons really promote that.
My sis just got gel vs acrylic for the first time. She says the gel is thicker than the acrylic but the sheerness of the gel nail makes them look more natural. Also, beware the latest scam is to charge you for gel nails and really give you acrylic. A good salon isn't going to do that. I have found it is best to avoid any place that does only nails and to use the old fashioned way of locating a good salon- the phone book. An ad with class is likely to be a classy salon and they don't advertise their prices in the phone book like the cheap places. Also, do a search on here (YA!) for gel nails. A lady gives more detailed advice than I have about how to know you are getting the 100% gel nails you are paying for. Gel nails can't be removed by just soaking in acetone, they do have to be filed or ground off of your natural nail when it's time for them to come off. You want someone with MAJOR experience when it comes to doing that. Most of the strip malls don't do true gel nails and will get out a Dremel and can really damage your nail bed.
So, bottom line, do your research to impress your mom that you are being responsible and depending on your age, be willing to babysit or do some part time job to pay or at least help pay for them.
well. idk i have the same problem. but truthfully as much as acrylic looks good (ive gotten it once). you have to get them done every 2 weeks. and then if not they have to grow out and it looks disgusting. and then eventually you have to get them like pulled off by the nail salon. its not really worth it...

My own nails are far too small to apply fake nails on top of?
I dont mean those ott french manicured nails that look weird, I bought a set of petite fit short tipped nails that are really small and natural looking, except my nails are too small!
I dont mean length.. I mean the actual nail SIZE. even the smallest nail in the set doesnt fit .
I have freakishly small nails.. so , what should I do?My own nails are far too small to apply fake nails on top of?
try filing around the edges of the artificial nail with a very finely grained buffer. try doing this before you peel off the adhesive or whatever. make sure you file the sides evenly, and after a few minutes it should be able to fit your nail bed.
If that seems like too much work just go to the nail salon and get acrylics.Just tell them you want them VERY VERY VERY short, and stick to it.My own nails are far too small to apply fake nails on top of?
You can gently file down the edges of the fake nail (not the length) untill it fits the size of your nail. Round out the edges and make it smaller for you. Will take some time, but will look really cute afterwards! :)
They sell a teen nail kit..I've seen it at CVS..if you don't have a CVS, try whatever big pharmacy you have. I have small (narrow) nails, I know what you're talking about!
buy sum of that nail polish thing that
makes ur nails grow maybe that works
well you need to grow your nail a bit...my little sister has same issue with small nail beds

Soak them in an acetone based nail polish remover for about 10 minutes. Cut the tops off as much as you can. Then soak some more. After that it should be very easy to carefully tear them off!
soak them in accetone nail polish for about 30-an hour. you can pretty much peal them off from there, if they dont fall off themselves
Get a medium size bowl and fill it about half way with hot water, and then take a smaller bowl and fill it with nail polish remover and put it in the hot water, without mixing the water and nail polish remover. Soak your nails in the nail polish remover for about 15 minutes and then just clip off the rest.
open tha hot water faucet and put ur hands in there for about 30 minutes or less!
they will come off slowly! =]
Most nail companies sell artificial nail removers. These are simply jars of pure acetone. Soak the nails until they get gooey and melt away.
How do I know this? My company supplies artificial nails to stores.

Do fake nails bought at a drug store ruin your nails as much as at the salon done ones?
it depends on the tools and the product that a nail tech uses!
i am a nail tech and i concentrate on minimal nail damage so i use a gel called biosculpture which is excellent! i also blend all tip by hand and DO NOT use any metal or motorised files/buffers!
Professional ones do last alot longer and so over time there is alot less glue damage than drug store tips although for a one of they can be better as long as you dont yank them off!
the ones with the sticky stuff are awful and do not stick! if you are to use nails from a drug store (which i do when im in a rush!) use the ones that attach with glue
hhope i helped!
:)Do fake nails bought at a drug store ruin your nails as much as at the salon done ones?
the drug store ones dont usually last as long therefore your nail is still more intact once they do fall off or are pulled off.
The glue it comes with is what rips apart your nail leaving it thin and brittle when they are forced off, and the sticky ones dont usually make it thru the night while you sleep.
its pretty much a pick your poison deal.
if you have a friend to help you i would go with the nail glue ones just dont use to much and make sure she does them even! ( I say have a friend help because you will always do one hand better than the other, and a friend has a completely different angle and TWO hands to work with!)Do fake nails bought at a drug store ruin your nails as much as at the salon done ones?
No they dont they will mostly never ruin ur nails they might leave glue on ur nails but that comes off really easily. The ones at the salon are really really bad! they can damage ur nails really badly! and once u gwt them and they come off you have to get them again and again and tht is bad cuz ever time you have to get new ones you have to use up like $20 to $40 and tht sucks! soo yea hope this helps ohh and the best stick on ones are KISS brand. here is a site to go look at them.

No not nearly as muich and they hurt a lot less ot take off. And the glue that comes wth it. its much easier to use

Help. i just put on fake nails and i dont know if im distroying my hands/fingers! help please?
I just bought and put on glue on nails for the first time. they look good but ive got some problems. Firstly, i think i have glue all over my fingers....but ive got compulsive skin picking disorder....so ive been with tweezers trying to get the skin on the tips of my fingers glue free but im not sure if its glue or skin im picking at. also, i noticed underneath the fakes my nails look really bad...reeally soft and terrible. like u know if u cut a nail with a bad clipper and if ur nails really soft or weak it will end up looking sort of frayed at the tip and underneath, with bits of a softer layer of your nail sticking out. well thats how they look and im not sure if its weak nail or glue and i am scared ive messed them up big time. i dont want to take off the fakes becuase i know there will be glue all over the surface of my nails and im terrified of having to deal with that and seeing how horrible i may have made them.Help. i just put on fake nails and i dont know if im distroying my hands/fingers! help please?
thats normal and the glue does that to your skin its fine.Help. i just put on fake nails and i dont know if im distroying my hands/fingers! help please?
your dumb. you could as me I could help anything. I got voted as the preetiest girl in school and the popularest girl in school to. just e-mail me. christy129600@yahoo.com. you shouldnt have put the nails on anyways that was dumb if your nails arent really baddly damged you shuldnt put it on. only if it is really really bad.
It's common to make mistakes the first time, I've worn glue on nails many times. My first time didn't turn out too well either and I used a bit too much glue which left a lot of dried residue on my nails and under the fakes. It also made them hard to take off and ended up hurting my real nails. However it's normal to have some dried residue left over. If you leave them on for a few days they usually just pop off eventually from the rigours of everyday life and to get off the residue just buff your nails or dip in acetone for a while.
I would not worry too much. The glue is probably CyanoAcrylate and is water soluable, it will fall off on its own in a day. Glue getting everywhere is what happens when you do it for the first time. Be happy that you feel they look nice except under close scrutinization. The glue should not effect your nails otherwise, they don't need to breath because they are comprised of dead keratin just like your hair. Maybe next time go to a salon and pay attention to how they do it.
Christine L, you say SHE is dumb??? It is You're dumb, not your dumb. I would hate to be the Preetiest girl, so starved for attention she gives her email addy out but her avitar says she doesn't allow E Mail contact. Keep wishing you are pretty and popular, one day, you may even convince yourself.
I had those and now I have a permanet line down the middle of one nail and it splits into the quick and bleeds.it picks my dresses and my hose. i would love to have my normals nail back. but the so called profession ruined thast nail by introducing a fungus to my nail and the drug to cure it will damage my liver. stop with the fake nails. you can soak off the nails and the glue with acetone, they make a kind that removes fake nails.
buff your nails with a buffer to make them shine. wear gloves to stop with skin picking thing or take up sewing or someting to keep your hands busy. i assume your in counseling for this?
I would take them off. If you like having the strength of ';fake'; nails go see a professional nail salon and ask them to put on silk wraps or acrylics for you. It'll be more money but worth it because there will be nothing to pick off your skin. With fake nails you are supposed to take them off after a week or so. If you have ANY moisture trapped under those fake nails you will get nail mold and if it gets bad.. well i'll let you picture that one! I would invest your money on having a professional do your nails sweetie.
if you feel that you could be damaging your nails than you should remove them immediately before you get an infection
well, i am a compusive nail biter and always wear fake nails. the super glue on your fingers will come off soon, and the glue isn't damaging to your nails, after the fake nail comes off, how your finger and nail seems moist and weak afterwards is caused by lack of air (like when you have a bandaid on too long and take it off. After the finger gets some air that weakness will go away after about 30 min. The only thing thats really bad is pulling it off right after you put it on. After wearing them for about 2 days, (saying as you've taken 2 hot showers) they should come off easily, the same for the glue, just make your hands really hot, doing dishes is another good way. A good way to put them on without a mess is to put a couple drops on the real nail, then push the fake nail on for about 4 seconds, and quickly wipe the excess glue(if any) out of the corners of your nail. Your nails arent going to be damaged, worst case scenario if you don't feel like picking the dried glue off once u remove the nail, just give it a few days , or hell just nibble it off if your a nailbiter
Oh my dear, it is only nail glue. It shouldn't do any major damage to your natural nails,. especially if you only recently put them on. Go to the store and buy a block buffer, take your nails off, and GENTLY buff your nails with the buffer. This should remove any glue residue. And stop picking....lol. Hope this helps.asian makeup

Would fake nails still let her nails grow?
My daughter is 11 and BITS her nails. I have tried everything!! She will not stop. She has always wanted fake nails. Would her nails still grow under the fake ones?Would fake nails still let her nails grow?
They will still grow under the fake nails but they will be damaged and brittle. I wouldn't recommend putting fake nails on an 11 year old girl.
You could always pick up a product called 'Bitter Apple' it's original intention is to prevent dogs from biting furniture. This is an extreme solution and it is none toxic.
Good Luck.Would fake nails still let her nails grow?
getting your daughter fake nails are not healthy
also. yes her nails are going to grow
but not in a healthy way because her nails need oxygen and can build fungy also your daughter may be stressing about something
that's why it causes her to bite her nails my sister used to do
because she was nervous about something
so i think you should ask her what's worrying her
or punish her so she might not do it the next time
hope i helped :))
Yes her nails will still grow under fake acrylic ones. I used to get fake nails all the time just to learn that when taking them off, they would RUIN my nail beds and look and sometimes feel awful! I don't know if getting your 11 yr old daughter fake nails is the ultimate solution!! In my opinion, I think she is way too young to have fake nails. My mom didn't even allow me until I was near 18!!! You should look into alternatives, cause this is not a good one to get her to stop biting her nails. She just needs to be disciplined and you as a mother needs to help her!!
I also bit my nails, her nails will still grow with the fake nails...but I bought some fake nails to glue on myself and I bit those nails =( its really hard to stop bitting them... If i got mine done at a nail saloon I probably would nt bite them cuz I would want them to stay pretty. But i really didnt care to keep the ones you can buy and put on yourself pretty because they would fall off easy.
yes they still grow but stop where the acrylic nail stops
they wont grow up over the acrlyic nail
i hope that makes sense.
no if you keep fake ails on for more than 5 weeks your nails fall off. take my advise seriously i learned the hard way and now have to wear fake nails all the time
yes they still grow. your nails dont stop growing. lol.
yea they do.

so i think you should ask her what's worrying her
or punish her so she might not do it the next time
hope i helped :))
How do you feel about women wearing weaves, fake nails, and makeup?
I think that women should do whatever makes them feel good about themselves, even if it means having fake stuff. At the end of the day, all that matters is yourself (that sounds a lot more selfish that I inteded) and everyone has a right to feel beautiful, so I think that it's fine for them to wear fake nails and make-up!How do you feel about women wearing weaves, fake nails, and makeup?
I agree
How do you feel about women wearing weaves, fake nails, and makeup?
I dont get weaves or fake nails. Nails grow and to pay for fake, dont get it, but if someone wants fake hair, fake nails go right ahead,
I think its ok as long as they don't go overboard with it. a little can go a long ways.
there is nothing wrong in doing any thing if its done tastefully see tyra banks oprah these women look always good but i really have problem with long polishesd nails they look really yuvky but iof they are filed properly with good manicure even fake look good some times it all depends how you are representing your self.
using fake stuff is fake beauty....n fake is cant be admired
Beautiful. Especially very long fake nails and wearing extremely thick heavy makeup with false eyelashes, tons of mascara and lipgloss almost dripping of their lips.
It's a personal decision, I don't care.
I wonder why they bother, frankly, although if anyone wants to do so, good luck to 'em.

Fake nails for nail biters?
so i bite my nails kinda bad and i really want to stop. so i want to get fake nails cuz if my nails look nice i won't bite them. so is there any kind of fake nails that i can get that i don't have to keep going in for matinence? and also don't cost a fortune? like ones that grow out and as they grow i cut them and eventually it's just my real nails?
thanks so much!
%26lt;3Fake nails for nail biters?
No, unfortunately there are no artificial nails that don't require upkeep. I wish there were! Have you tried the No Bite nail polish? It tastes bad really, so when you put your nails in your mouth you take them right out. Or, try thinking about all of the nasty germs that are are your fingers and under your nails.Fake nails for nail biters?
this might sound weird but try taking a daily multivitamin. it helped with my nails, they became much stronger so i rarely bit my nails because they were so strong and ripping them was no longer an option. also a couple of clear base coats work good, the taste is nasty, thus you won't want to stick your nails near your mouth. otherwise they do solar nails, which is still like $30/month. it's a hard gel they put on your nails so they look like acrylics but aren't, it's actually your real nail, just reinforced with the thick gel.
best of luck! when you feel like biting your nails why don't you pop a gum to chew? try that. its all about misdirection.
instead of fake nails try just painting your nails.I was a really bad nail biter. But then I start painting my nails. and the nail polish taste really bad when you try to bit your nails. so I stop. EUREKA. Beautiful nails. Just make sure when your nail polish start to chip, repaint asasp. Beacause if you dont. Yall start picking at the nail under it and chip your real nails!!!
i wouldn't suggest regular nailpolish because a chronic nail-biter like yourself would just bite them anyway because after a day or two that nailpolish taste goes away. however there is this nailpolish that tastes beyond nasty. its extremely gross and it will stop you from biting your nail for sure. i don't remember what it's called but you can find it in the nail care aisle at CVS, Walmart, Target ...
if you're more interested in pretty nails instead of a cure, you'd be better off just sticking to DIY press on nails. There will be more maintenance than if you got your nails done at a salon, simply because they're liable to pop off and with cheaper brands, french tips and designs wear off depending on how much you do things with your nails brushing against other things. but instead of having to pay 20 dollars for a manicure that you'll have to pay get touched up every week or so you can pay 5 dollars for maybe two sets? that will take you a few minutes to put on and a few seconds to reattach a nail here or there.
also, with fake nails, you cant just keep them on until they grow out because itll cause your natural nail to break and beyond that, they end up looking extremely grody after a month or so when the glue starts wearing out
they have a nail polish that is supposed to be especially made for people who bite their nails. it supposedly tastes really bad
thanks so much!

me and my friend want to get fake nails for the summer but were not sure how much it is . any body know ?How much money is it to get fake nails ?
I get mine anywhere from $15-$20 dollars thats the going price but i got it done for $10 once. Idk where u live but thats the going price in Florida. Hope this Helps! :)How much money is it to get fake nails ?
It all depends on what kind of fake nail you want,
a silk wrap costs around $40 and that one grows as you nail grows that you can file as if it were your regular nail. To keep it maintained it cost around $25 every 3-4 weeks.
an all plastic fake nail would cost around $25 to $30 plus you have to get the filled. but you can also buy them yourself at a drugstore for around $5 that you apply yourself.
Hope that helps!asian makeup

Do tanning booth accelerating lotions stain your fake nails?
I have the gel ones as apposed to acrylic, but i'm assuming its the same thing.
also, it says apply immediately before tanning. How would you define immediately, because i rather do it at my house then go to my tanning salon. Let me know if/why that's a bad idea.Do tanning booth accelerating lotions stain your fake nails?
Iv known a few people n mates to rub vaseline on their nails! it works with tinting eyebrows and also put on your head to stop dye getting on your fore head when dying ya hair!!! so that should work.Do tanning booth accelerating lotions stain your fake nails?
I wouldn't apply that type of lotion before leaving your house, as it will probably stain your clothes. I can't tell you how many of my light bras and tops I've ruined because of bronzers in my tanning lotions...grrrr.
all ive found is when tanning with those nails they have turned yellow and so now ive taken extra towels, those small white ones they provide, and put my hands in them so my nails are covered from the light and dont turn yellow

Should i use hot water or acetone to remove my fake nails?
some tell me hot water others tell me acetone so...what should i use?Should i use hot water or acetone to remove my fake nails?
Your going to be there for a long time if you just use hot water hun! Do you have acrylic nails on that were applied by a nail techician? Gel nails? Or stick on ones, you did yourself? Ideally you should visit your nail technician to take them off, but I know this isnt always ideal. So get yourself some acetone and soak your tips in there for as long as you need to this can take upto half an hour. Dont try to pull them away from your nail bed as you will take off layers and be left with soft weak nails. You can use and orange stick to scrape off any soft top layer once you have soaked them for a while. It also makes it easier if you flie your nails right down, then there is less to soak off.
Once you are done dont forget to treat your nails to some moisturiser and if you have one a calcium treatment topcoat!
Good Luck it does take some time, but its better than broken nails!
Should i use hot water or acetone to remove my fake nails?
Soak them in Acetone for 10-15 minutes, maybe a little longer, Then nail should soften and you can lift up,or push the softened nail off, with something like a orangewood stick.
use warm water, and after all over, apply some cream on the remaining skin, it works goods! :)

What is a good age for fake nails?
My daughter is 10 and all of her friends are getting fake nails I don't know what to say PLEASE help! What is a good age for fake nails?
13What is a good age for fake nails?
Tell her she doesn't have to do what her friends are doing. I would say fake nails would be appropriate for teens. Tell her the cons (not pros) of fake nails.
You have to keep them clean
They might break
you can do the same thing to your real nails
infections might occur
your the parent, you don't have to give in to her demands.
but if you allow her to, start out with the dress up kind where they stick on
then you could do the ones that have to be glued on. yes, fake nails can be nice, but I think natural is best. if she insists, just take her to a nice manicure and she will see her nails can look nice w/out fake ones.
Oh dear, I remember going through a fake nails phase when I was young. My mom had a rule, they had to be stick on (like the ones that have stickers to hold them in place) and they couldn't be worn outside of the house. I think that's a pretty good rule. She's 10 years old. It's absolutely ridiculous to imagine a 10 year old with long fake nails.
I would suggest picking up some different polishes, clippers, buffers, emery boards and having a nice little mother and daughter manicure session. Just because she's young doesn't mean that she can't have nice nails but I think fake nails is a tad much.
if she is still a tomboy, i wouldn't let her get them. and removal is painful. if you think she won't get them broken off, let her get them done once and removed once. she may think the process is too much work and not want them done anymore. but if she wants to get them done again you'll have to take her for fill ins every two weeks and help her with the upkeep of them and stuff. so the real question is: do you feel like paying about thirty bucks every month until she's old enough to get a job and pay for them herself?
how about letting her grow her nails a little, then using an emery board to shape them and using a french manicure kit (costs five bucks) to give her the french tip look? much cheaper and no painful removal or expensive salon trips!! and a good bonding thing, too......
the youngest i have ever seen is 13. tell her that the minute she is a teenager she can get them. that makes it more exciting for her to become a teenager and then you can talk about why it isn't okay to get them as young as she is. girls are growing up too fast these days and it's important that mothers don't let that happen. there is no need for fake nails, but you can always take her out for a manicure instead.
10 points! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
I think any age is fine as long as both of you are comfortable with the idea.
I tried fake nails in middle school and hated them! I ended up popping them all off ASAP. Haha. Once I found out that I couldn't type well or pick up things and that it took some getting used to.... I was done with that idea. (Now I wear them for special occassions sometimes but they still annoy me :p)
actually those nails would b suitable only if daughter does not hav sensitive nails
but i would suggest 16 yrs is d best age for growing nails or havin fake nails
but i wud lik to advise d younger generation dat havi any artificial stuff is only affectin d true texture of d original stuff
Personally I think fake nails are unattractive. But at that age it may be the difference between fitting in and not fitting in. I would make sure that she would actually want them.
just get her a manicure where they give the look of the nails bieng fake but they arent actually.its cheaper and looks great. Especially since at that age there so wild and the nails would break
:)
I used them at 11, those fake ones you can buy in the stores, and I still do.
If you use the ones from a general store now would be fine.
I whould just ask her why she really wants them.

Why isn't fake nails good to use in cheer leading?
my mom is mad at me because i wet to go get tips at a nail salon. now she is telling me to take them off because i have cheer practice n Tuesday and Wednesday. i now how to take them off but why cant we wear them? Why isn't fake nails good to use in cheer leading?
It sounds more like a problem your mum has with nails rather than what problems they'd cause you on your cheerleading team.
I cheerlead too and loads of my teammates wear them... The only think I could think of it effecting is if you're a base and you accidentally scratch a flyer!! Maybe they could break when you're tumbling? Maybe you'll have to ask your cheer captain if they're ok to wear, I dunno about your team but mine has very strict uniform policies :/
I dunno, I think it's a problem your mum has with you wearing them. Why isn't fake nails good to use in cheer leading?
they will break and come off, then it will be somewhere on the floor and no one will see it, so maybe it will just be all gross sitting there alone. then when you lift people you will scratch them and can poke someone in the eye
i'm pretty sure it's a rule you can't have fake nails in cheerleading
You catch them on anything and it might just take your whole nail off with it.. OUCH :O
Its health and safety
They will come off easily.

you should probaly use a nail file and soak you finger in nail polish removerI have fake nail glue on my nail and it wonk come off, help me?
can you use a nail file and file it smooth ?
to remove the glue the best way is to use very hot water and place ur fingers in it. then apply some moisturizing cream and acetone and it will be off immediately.
soak in acetone nail polish remover
try nail polish remover, or you might just have to file it down.
try soaking your nail in olive oil and use a nail file to get it off then use some cutical loation to help it repare it's self.
You could use acetone to remove it or file it down.
just do this, dip your nail is nail polish remover. it may take a while depending on how much glue you put on your nail. that hurts though! just don't try to pull it off. it hurts so bad. i tried that once. stupid me. ^_^ don't worry it will come off
nail polish remover, the kind with acetone will take it off
soak your nail in nail polish remover, it will soften and you'll be able to rub it off
I don't know much about nail glue, but I do know solvents. If you want the gunk of try acetone nail polish remover. If that doesn't work try terpentine.
If all thoes suggestions fail then try WD40.
keep your nails in nail polish remover
you could try to us nail polish remover good luck
Sounds like it's not fake, but REAL nail glue. Try not to wonk on it again.
that happened to me-soak it in nail polish remover, promise it'll come off!
nail polish remover, and dip your nail in hot water it should loosen up the glue so u can take it off. dont pick at it trust me it isnt good for your nails. good luck :]
take like a tooth pick and scrape it off hard even if it hurts or go to a doctor or a manicurist or a nail store or salon and they will give u a special cream or gel that will wear it out and away in a weekasian makeup

Why cant u pray namaaz with nail polish on? or fake nails?
In order to offer salat (namaz) you need to make ablution (wudu) and nail polish or fake nails plays a role of a barrier.. water doesn't reach to the nails properly and this wudu remains invalid and with an invalid wudu u cannot offer salat ~!Why cant u pray namaaz with nail polish on? or fake nails?
What Mullah passed that fatwa?
I've never heard anything so bizzarre in my life.
Izzie -
thanks for calling me an idiot, that's def the Muslim thing to do.
Anyway, the Prophet (sa) also said not to ask too many questions because then the deen will become too difficult of a burden on the people. I doubt that any bacteria can get into the seal formed by a fake nail and a real nail anyway. Not to mention, if there is nail polish on your fingers, that's not exactly a bacteria attracter either.
In fact, I would like to see the woman who puts on and takes off fake nails 5 times a day. There is no way anyone does that. I have seen Muslim women wearing fake nails, and never once have I heard of them removing them for wudoo. Your logic that bacteria will get in between the nail and the fake nail is flawed. Even if there is a space, flush it out with water.
It's niyyat (intention) we're after. Which is why tayammamm is allowed when water isn't available or if someone would have to do wudoo with too much difficulty.
Yeah, I comprendeWhy cant u pray namaaz with nail polish on? or fake nails?
You can not pray with your polish or fake nails because before praying you should make a wudhu by washing until the water get into your skin and nails without polish starting from the right and then to the left of arms, mouth, nose, face, hands,
,hair and ears and the last legs each 3 times
its just cuz u cant do wudu with it, like the water cant clean or something, i dont know i wish we were allowed though because i love nail polish :-( and i hate when people tell me just wear it when ur on ur period, im sorry but at that time of month i couldnt care less about my NAILS lol
but i heard from someone that if u have ur wudu before u put them on then its okay, then i hear from others that it isnt true
so i am as confused as u are and i was just about to ask this question so ima star it :-D
for the 1qfactor idiot....no, it wasn't the mullah ruling....it was our common sense! We all muslims wash our hands before prayer. (Do you wash your hand before yours?Oh, there goes the Ecoli to your face...) it is a part of wudhu' to wash your hands. And technically, when wearing fake nails, water does not reach the fingernails (which is, in case you don't know, a major source of germs in your hands!). When water does not reach the fingernails, that means you are not washing your hands. thus not completing the wudhu. Comprende??
not a thousand percent sure, but i think its ok bcuz God says in the Quran to not take religion hard or make yourself suffer bcuz of it, like when u pray with your hijab on and a little of your hair is outside, thats ok as well.
Remeber intention is also very important, so if u r nnoto sure or dont deem something valid, the just dont do it if possible.
Nail polish and fake nails are not good for you. They are fake beauty that women use to cover up her real beauty that God gave her, or to attract attention from the opposite sex. The water can't get to the nails and under the nails if a woman is wearing nail polish, makeup or fake nails.
in order for wudu you need to have your hands wet, including your fingernails, but when theres something thats sheilding your nails, like a nail polish coat, water does not touch your fingernail. Therefore wudu is not valid, and you cannot pray.
real talk i don't know this religion, but i would guess that it would be because fake nails and nail polish is cosmetic, and you weren't born with it
u cant pray w/ it because they cover ur real nails and when u do wudu ur real nails wouldn't be washed.. so ur wudu wouldnt be complete.
cos water needs to wet your figernails when you do wudu.
Becos you'll look too attractive during prayer and satan may become attached to you....not good.

How do you take fake nails off?
i hear you have to use acetone but i don't have that! my friend said you can dip your hand in hot water...but idk if that actually works because everywhere i go it says use acetone.
it's raining, the salon isn't open today and i don't have money anyway (college student). the last time i had them i ripped them off, but that just messed up my nails for a lonng time.
what can i do?How do you take fake nails off?
If you have a Metro-card or something similar then use that . Pick at the corners of the fake nails and separate them from your real nails and they should come right off .How do you take fake nails off?
other than remover with acetone I have no clue, unless you just pick them off, warm water won't do anything, you need a solvent for the glue, more or less it is just super glue..........
lol its Raning here To but i Just get a Nail flier and Stick it through the Nail like on the sides and it flicks off thats how i get mine off
soak in acetone nail polish remover
Soak it in Nail Polish remover that's what I did. It works perfectt!
No clue. I've always seen my friends biting theirs off. (:^(

How do you get fake nails off?!?
I had my nail perfessional done they have grown out and now I want them off. I have cut and filed them so they are shorter, but they are still real thick and ugly, any suggestions on how to get them off?How do you get fake nails off?!?
The only way to get rid of them is to get them professionally removed. I would suggest going to any manicurist and tell them that you want the acrylics removed. The process takes a while and depends on how thick the acrylics are. I had mine removed and it took about an hour, the process involves dipping your fingers in a solution that is meant to 'dissolve' the acrylics. Words of advice: the solution is harsh to the skin of your hand so make sure you put lots and lots of hand cream after the acrylics are removed. Good luck. How do you get fake nails off?!?
soak them off in acetone, get it at wal mart
soak them in nail polish remover and then gently take them off. Don't pull or tear them off as you can tear your real nail just keep soaking and then lift off as much as it will lift then re soak and repeat.
most nail shops offer removal services at very low cost. Your natural nails will be rough and dried after all that junk has been on them for so long. keep them short and wear a clear polish on them after removal- the new nails WILL grow back.
you can soak them in acetone.this does take sometime though. after you take them off make sure you file your natural nails short, and apply 2 coats of clear nail polish, preferably one with some kind of nail strenghter. continue to apply the nail polish once every 2 days.
You can soak them in acetone sold wear the nail polish remover is located. But, I would recommend you going to the professional to get them removed. When you take off the acrylic your nails are going to be VERY thin that they may break easily. Once they are off try polishing them with NailTek. It makes your nails stronger.
go to a bueaty supply store and get a remover or soak them in acetone (they sell it where nail polish remover is).
soak ur nails in nail polish remover it's gonna take a while to dissolve but u should get most of the junk off then

Can you buy some fake nails and bring them to a salon and have them put them on for you?
Does doing this cut down the cost of a full set?Can you buy some fake nails and bring them to a salon and have them put them on for you?
NO......because what you get in the salon is done by a professional and you are paying for the products and the professionals time to apply them. If you want nails to last approximately 2 - 4 wks with hardly no maintenance than this is your savings! If you want to buy cheap drug store glue on tips for just an occasion then that would be your savings. Depends on what you are needing them for. The same would be for hairstylists as well..........you don't bring in scissors or haircolor to save costs. Can you buy some fake nails and bring them to a salon and have them put them on for you?
No. Professionals put on only the ones they have there.
Read the instructions on how to put them on on the back of the box of nails. Try to get them evenly. I'm sure you can do it. Good luck :)
LMFAO noo the fake nails u buy at the store isnt the same as fake nails u get done at a salon they actually file ur nails and use power mixed with some liquid to create the fake nail onto of ur real nail
no, you have to use what they provide. If you bring your own, they can use them, but they will charge you the same.
i doubt you can do that. call them and find out
Doubt that, the real cost is in the acrylic.
Well,
I dont think so..

Should I get fake nails? Does it hurt your real nails? How long do they last?
I usually just get a regular old french manicure, but I was thinking about getting fake ones put on this time. Does it damage your real nails to get fake ones put on top? Which do you prefer to have?
My natural nails are in pretty good shape, but the paint always flakes off in 2-3 days which is really annoying! If i got fake ones, they would last a lot longer, right?Should I get fake nails? Does it hurt your real nails? How long do they last?
honestly, i don't recommend fake nails just because they ruin your real nails. if you have nice strong nails then work with that ..i got fake nails for my grade 12 graduation like 6 years ago and have never got them since. they looked cute and lasted a long time but my poor nails took for ever to recover. Just get a french manicure done on your natural nails and they'll look adorable! short nails are really cute anyways :) they are the new fakes heheShould I get fake nails? Does it hurt your real nails? How long do they last?

fake nails are so tacky and they damage your real nails. if your having issues with nail polish flaking get a better brand nail polish, and try putting 3 coats, first a base coat the strenghens the nail, 2nd coat is the color, and 3rd coat is a quick dryer polish. your nails stay shiny, healthy and even better looking than those nasty fake nails
i like the fake ones, they are classy......they hurt a little when they come off but not much! ummmm, yeah they do deprive your nails of oxygen, so i would'nt recomend getting them done everytime they come off............wait like 2 weeks ater taking them all off before you get some more on!! they will stay on like 2-4 or 5 weeks depending on the person...................hope i helped...........♥lensie
it does do some damage but that's only if you take them off yourself, i like the gel, but my friend swears by acrylics.
they recommend that you only have them on for no more than a month at a time, and you have to get them filled once a week so it gets pricey.
Yes they damage your real nails.
I've been getting acrylic nails for about 3 years now.
Yes they last about 2-3 weeks depending on your nail growth, and then you'll need a fill in.
If you have good nails than don't unless you plan on keeping the fake nails for a long time and get them filed in! Whenever you take them off your nails are a mess until they grow out again! :D
it will damge your nnails but not that bad --it lasts about a month becuz ur nails grow and it begins to show

If you go to a good salon, then the damage will be next to nothing - if anything at all. It's those cheap places that you have to worry about. The ones that charge like $ 20-25 for a full set, allow walk-ins, and don't speak our language? Those places are the worst you can go to, and they DO have a reputation for being unskilled and ruining your nails. Instead, avoid these places, and find a GOOD, reputable salon where they really do care about their work, and take pride in it. I mean, just the language barrier is a really bad thing to have to dela with. How can it be good id the only way to describe, or voice your concerns is to point at your nails, and make simple hand gestures to get your point across to them? And that doesn't work lots of the time. And, the only words you speak a lot of the time when you enter these cheap places is things like ';Full set,'; or ';Fill.'; The only things they say to you a good percentage of the time is, for example, ';how short,'; or ';You go wash,'; and of course, ';what color?'; That does not make for good communication between the tech and the cusstomer, especially if you have special needs, or concerns or possibly problems with your nails. They can't answer you.
Now, I'm NOT trying to be racist, and I did NOT point out any one particular race of people. I am, however, speaking the truth about these things. Avoid the cheap salons that are run by immigrants who cannot understand, nor speak much - if any, English.
And, that is not true. You can keep acrylic, or gel nails on for a LOT longer than a month. You just need to have them filled on a regular basis. See, a lot of these cheap places have very unskilled, and untrained techs. Many don't even have a valid license to do nails - which is illegal. Anwyay, many of these people cannot do a fill because they don't know how to, and will tell you that you need to have a new full set each time you go in. It's simply not true. You do not need a new full set every month or two, or whatever amount of time. There are a few exceptions, but those are rare for an experienced, and skilled tech. BTW, the amount of time between fills averages 2 weeks, sometimes 3 but no more than that.
Oh, and for those who say that they hurt when being removed, this is not true either. When done correctly, it never hurts to have your nails removed. It's these unskilled morons who remove them incorrectly that hurts you. For example, taking a naik tip, and shoving it between your natural nail and the acrylic nail, then prying it off is NOT the way to remove them. Those techs that do that shouldn't be doing nails in the first place. NO nail service should EVER hurt, or be in the least bit uncomfortable. Ever. Acrylic nails need to be slowly soaked off in pure acetone. Geez , I really wish they would ban all these sleazy, cheap, and unsanitary chop shops.

I want to wear fake nails and be able to deal with them.?
I want fake nails but I go to school so I have to write and wearing fake nails makes it harder. Fake nails are very pretty and I love wearing it BUT to take them off you have to use nail remover and that smells awful and it's yucky. I want to be beautiful and wear fake nails. Can someone help me?I want to wear fake nails and be able to deal with them.?
get short fake nails ;)I want to wear fake nails and be able to deal with them.?

im sorry but i dont find it hard to write with fake nails i love getting them put on and get them all the time im sry i just dont see your problem
Instead of wearing fake nails that you glue on you can go to the mall or wal-mart and ask for a french manicure with fake tip and they will not fall of a I have my on right now
alls you do is for a while wear really cheap false nails, for a while and get used to them, that way if they snap it dosent matter, after a while get expensive ones done and ytou should be used to it.
ive wore them for 6 yeras now and the only problem i have is after going the toilet is pulling my knickers up without snapping them
Just don't get the nails done too long, you'll get used to them in a day or two. Doing your everyday activities will be second nature after that.
If you want to take them off, go back to the salon you had them put on at. It costs alittle, but it looks nicer than picking them off or doing them yourself.
Go to a nail salon if you want pretty fake nails you might as well get pretty real nails
fake nails don't last very much longer than real nails and realy nails don't cost much more
At some salons they have amazing designs but of course they are air brushed but they come out amazing

Does anyone else find those really long, fake nails unattractive?
I like french manicures and long nails, but when the nail is like an inch long, I think it's a bit much.Does anyone else find those really long, fake nails unattractive?
Not only are they unattractive, but ghetto and trashy. Not to mention they scare guys because they look like claws! What guy would want to be with a girl and get into an arguement with her and have her scratch his face off. Plus breaking those things will pull your entire nail off!Does anyone else find those really long, fake nails unattractive?
Yes and how unpractical they would be. It would be hard to do any kind of cooking or cleaning and how hard would it be to wipe your own a**.
Yep, the owners portray themselves as cheap and worthless.
my husband does not like long nails speacially if they are fake... must guys like all natural ;)
yeah it's pretty strange.
i would just wonder why a person would do that.
Reminds me of the talons on a turkey buzzard. EWWWW!
i agree, its obviously fake.
why can't people just accept what they have ? :P
Gross
yea i think is disgusting

Best fake nail glue to use?
In the UK?
I have fake nails (i know i know they are baaaaaad or whatever) But i have a Ball to go to on Saturday and i want to wear them. Whats the BEST glue and the cheapest OFC :) to use?
Help me!
Brand names appriecated :D
thanks xxxBest fake nail glue to use?
If I were you, get the acryllic nails done at a local salon, they are so muh easier to use, less of a hastle, and they would look 20 times better than regular done nails, not to mention they look a lot classier.
Other wise, any nail glue would probably work just get any kind, but press down hard once you glue them on because if you don't it will crystalize under the nail and look really odd and gross.
*been in many beauty pageants throughout my life, not to mention won a few:)Best fake nail glue to use?
when i buy fake nails to put on myself i use super glue other wise they fall off every 5seconds.. either that or go get them done think about it it cost 30bucks to get them professionally done and by the time you buy the fake nails and the glue you are spending half the money and they fall off a million times.. if you get them professionally done it is worth the money b/c they won't fall off and you can keep them for longer..
good luck and have fun at your ball..
i recommend you getting acryllic or gel nails done at a nail salon but if you really want the glue on ones use mac or broadway
Try Mac! Definatly ! they are bit pricey but worth it!asian makeup

Do you think a 12 yr old should ever get fake nails?
Call me prudish but I can't think of any occasion that would make that appropriate.
As a 17 yr old, I think fake nails should not even be worn to school they are too much.
It is okay if you got them for an occasion but to just get them like that at 17 is too young.
Maybe I can't catch up with the times.Do you think a 12 yr old should ever get fake nails?
IMO it is a bit too young but it's not a big deal. No harm done lolDo you think a 12 yr old should ever get fake nails?
lol.
i think it's you.
im wearing them right now
Not only ghetto people were them, Only ghetto people wear them 5 inches long.
mine are cut a little past my fingers. i wear them because i have horrible nail biting problems
damn you guys are just old
sorry
the schools nowadays all they wear in mini shorts, half the school has tattoos by the time their in middle school there all smoking pot and having sex with tons of piercings
and your worried about fake nails?
ha
I'm 22 years old and when i was in high school, only trashy girls wore fake nails unless it was for homecoming or winter formal. However I think that painting your own nails is fine. I have always had naturally long nails and like to keep them at a medium length French tip. It looks nice and professional at my age.
When i was in high school i used to paint my nails with either a red or black tip and a clear coat. Not to much but still pretty.
no u cant catch up with the times.
about half my skool wears fake nails..unlike me cuz i think its stupid...butmost gulrs like fake nails cuz they dont hav to take care of them..for sum reason it is a fad rite now even as an 11 yr old..i think no one under 13 shood wear them but no 17 is totally fine to wear fake nails
uhm, a lot of ghetto girls at my school wear them. i'm 14, and personally i can stand having my nails painted, that's probably because i suck @ painting them but, yeah. 12 year olds shouldn't ever get fake nails.

Hey so like ummm.......I just got fake nails as a present and I don't know how to put them on can someone show me a video or type it and well........... make it as detailed as possible PLZ!Can Somebody Tell Me Or Show Me How To Apply Fake Nails at Home?

read the box. What i do is take out all the nails i'm going to use, because the box usually comes with different styles. Clean your nails really good and make sure they are dry. Then put the glue on the back of the nail and stick it on. Wait a few mintues until they're on good and do your other hand.
what ever u do dont get the glue on your fingers
read the box or have a friend or family member put them on for but if you do them yourself don't glue your fingers together

I was thinking of getting fake nails being put on professionally but do they damage your real nails?
ive never gotten fake nails put on before soooo, i wasent thinking of leaving them on for more than a month so do they damage your real neails? how?I was thinking of getting fake nails being put on professionally but do they damage your real nails?
Yes, they do damage them some, but for a short period of time. The only damage is that the nails don't get oxygen and they feel like you just got out of the pool. Don't get them continuously or it may take them longer to heal.I was thinking of getting fake nails being put on professionally but do they damage your real nails?
Yesyesyesyesyesyes they do!!!
They damage your nails cause they have to scratch up your nails so that the glue can get some traction, so they take a course file and run it all over your nails, scratching them up. So it really doesn't matter how long their on, they damage your nails from the beginning. but fake nails are pretty:) you cant have both healthy natural nails and fake ones.

Does anyone know how to take fake nails off?
does anyone have an idea how to remove them? They need to come off because they look disgusting but i got them done at a nail place and their like glued on. Can anyone help? thanks.Does anyone know how to take fake nails off?
I clip off the tips with a big toe nail clipper thing, then I pick at them with tweezers, sliding them under the fake nail and little by little they will lift up. It's going to hurt a bit, because they're meant to stick good.
I tried the nail polish remover before too, and it failed for me.
When you're done buff your nails smooth with a finger nail file, or actual buffer, they'll look fine. Short, but good.Does anyone know how to take fake nails off?
Ok I had like the same problem
I like tried peeling them off little by little and eventually they will come off but nail polish remover doesn't work I tried that tons of times. You can't really put your nails in boiling HOT water w/out burning your nails either. you could go to your local nail salon and they can take them off for you, I just couldn't go to a nail salon cause I didn't have one in my area, but I got my nails done at a nail salon in my cousins city over spring break.
You can buy pure Acetone at the store and soak them. But I would recommend going to the salon and paying them to take them off. When you do it yourself it pretty much rips whats left of your real nails off. When the salon removes it your real nails end up looking much better.
you can buy acetone and soak your nails in this, at least 15 min. then you can pull them off easier with a clipper or they also make a tool for this at the local beauty supply.
Soak your nails in Acetone for about 10 - 20 minutes then they will come right off - this is what they did at the nail salon to remove mine!
Soak them gently in nail polish remover. Your real nails will look horrible though so I'd recomend just keeping the falsies for a few weeks.
Go to the place where you got them, they take them off. It's ushally like five dollars or something.
Soak them in nail polish remover that's the only way.
polish remover
make sure it has acetone in it though
boil some hot water and just soak ur nails for a coulpe of minutes....but dont put your fingers in or ull burn urself!

If I have fake nails and go swimming will they turn yellow?
I have acrylic nails and have been swimming all weekend and noticed they are turning a bit yellow underneath. Does anybody know if this will continue or have some information on this? I know they do turn yellowish when I tan so maybe it's something along those lines.......If I have fake nails and go swimming will they turn yellow?
When you swim, the UV rays are amplified. You need to use a UV inhibiting top coat. The best one i have used is Tammy Taylor A coat. I also use z coat as it stops nails from turning from using a lot of product (i.e. lotion, sunscreen, etc.) I also use A coat on my french manicured toes. They NEVER chip even when I swim daily. I can stretch a pedi out for 3-4 weeks if i need to.If I have fake nails and go swimming will they turn yellow?
if you have been swimming you have probably been in the sun, it is the sun's rays that cause them to turn yellow, just like when you go tanning. You can buy nail polish that will coat the nails with sunscreen that will prevent this from happening. I do the same thing, and have had mine on for a few months without any discoloration
nope, i have them also and have never had a problem with them turning color.
it shouldnt turn yellow mine have never done that andi swim a lot. call your estitition and ask what the reason for that would be.
What are you swimming in? Champagne??
But seriously, yes fake nails do stain. You could try re-painting them.
Or cultivate your real nails - lots of vitamins and Sally Hanson nail products should do the trick.
Fake nails are brilliant for certain occasions but they can be such a pain!!
no
not at all the stuff the use won't turn colors unless u get fungus under them, which happens after awhile with her nails becoming old
yes
sometimes the chlorine will react with the glue in your nail kit... this can result in...
flaking skin around your nails...
rash...
nails falling of due to reaction...
personally, if you have long nails, i think it is a bit dangerous to swim in a crowded area... you might take someones eye out with em!
Your nails don't turn yellow, I know because I have acrylic nails, too.
I manage a tanning salon and it's most probably the UV not the pool so just visit your local tanning salon and purchase a UV protective top coat like sun-e and appy that over your manicure about once a week.asian makeup

if you have been swimming you have probably been in the sun, it is the sun's rays that cause them to turn yellow, just like when you go tanning.
I manage a tanning salon and it's most probably the UV not the pool so just visit your local tanning salon and purchase a UV protective top coat like sun-e and appy that over your manicure about once a week.
Nail polish is on my fake hardwood floors help!!!!!!?
I was wondering what i can use to take off nail polish off my laminate floors any suggestions??? plz help!!!!!!!Nail polish is on my fake hardwood floors help!!!!!!?
use acetone(nail polish remover)
if u do not want to use it,
u can use warm vinegar + salt + lemonNail polish is on my fake hardwood floors help!!!!!!?
That sucks! Okay, this might sound dumb... hopefully it works for you. Get some clear nail polish and drop it over the area that you spilled your colored polish on, and wipe it immediately. Do NOT use any acetone!
None acetone nail polish remover.
Dont worry if its none acetone its not going to damage anything.
Try the forums at http://www.suburbangarden.com/ they are geared more toward this type of questions
a razor blade...be VERY careful!
mee too thanx for the help
nail polish remover works
just use finger nail polish remover, but as soon as your done mop that section of the floor and polish it back up, it shouldn't hurt it any that's how i got nail polish off the per-go floors at the lodge last year.
vinegar
i dont think there is much you can do without making it look worse while using chemicals. If you say it is fake laminate floor, go and buy a small section again and replace it or get a rug? or a decorative floor throw.........sorry this had to happen it must suck, good luck!
If it's really dry then try the razor blade suggested above, if it's fairly dry harden it with ice cubes and then try the razor blade.
If it's really moist then try nail polish remover.
If it's semi dry try clear nail polish and then nail polish remover.

How much does it cost to get French tips (fake nails)?
There's a nail salon, called DaVi and I was thinking of getting them done there. I'm in TN if it helps. How much does it cost to get French tips (fake nails)?
Not sure. It all depends where you go. Plus I have natrually long nails so I just get French tips painted on, I never get fake nails. Altho mine are like perfect and my friends think there fake because they look perfect. If you have nice enough nails just get them painted on. More natural and they normally cost less than getting fake nailsHow much does it cost to get French tips (fake nails)?
It usually costs 25-35 dollars. They last about 2 weeks until it starts to show where you should get them done again.
I live in Pennsylvania and it costs about $30 for tips.

The best brand that you can get would be KISS Nails. They look real and they are also sort and petite size. If you don't see then, Just ask for help. They will find them for you.

Is it annoying to anyone else when women with fake nails type really really loud?
It seems like some (not all) women with fake nails try to type in a really loud obnoxious clickity clack manner. Why do they do this? My friend says he thinks they do it for attention but i want to see what other opinions are out there. Is it annoying to anyone else when women with fake nails type really really loud?
It is annoying but i think that is just how it sounds when you type with fake nails.
I don't think they go out of their way to make it any more annoying.
Most of the time they also look stupid as well as sound stupid.
Every once in a while i see fake nails that are understated and done well that don't remind me of people like Peggy Bundy, but mostly they look as bad as they sound on a keyboard. Is it annoying to anyone else when women with fake nails type really really loud?
Well Princess,
Seems as though you have found another trait to that elusive creature we known as woman.
See Princess the ';clickity clack'; you so astutely made an observation of is a sign... yes ';your Highness'; they are of the alien variety so if you will put this tin-foil hat on your golden tiera' we might have a chance of eluding them in the escape pod.
The 'attention' reason is just laughable.
';Why can't people just answer the question asked?'; LOL. This is a public forum, you are going to get whatever answers you get.
I agree with the other guy though: i think your life will go on just fine whether or not they stop typing 'really really loud.' Who cares.
I suspect that the nails are awkward to some extent and thus they really need to punch them keys really hard!!!!
she bites her nails, its as simple as that..!!
OH MY GOD YES!!!!!!!!!!!! its really really annoying!!

How do I remove my fake nails fast?
The only thing I have is acetone nail polish remover, and not very mush of it. Some people say this doean't work, but I can't go out of the house right now to buy 100% acetone or go to a salon. I need them off BY TONIGHT!!! What do I do?How do I remove my fake nails fast?
The best way to remove them is to use 100% acetone and use a med grit nail file in between the soaking to remove the nailsHow do I remove my fake nails fast?
Glad to see it worked for you this is how i do it...i soak them in 100% acetone remover and with a medium grit nail file ( for artifical nails of course i take them out and file the fake ones of... it takes a while but i learned this from the salon i go to this is how they showed me...
bite them off I can do a full set in about 10mins
Hi! Soak your nails in the acetone polish remover for 5 to 10 minutes and then clip them down as far as you can....then resoak them for about 10 more minutes. After you cut them and soak them again, it makes it easier for the acetone polish remover to get under your artificial nails and eat away(loosen) the fake nails.
soak them in finger nail polish remover or alchahal
soak your fingers in hot water with some nail polish remover. works for me.
Use nail polish remover, acetone...and use one of those cuticle pushers and pop them off. It works.
She i wrong you should cut the nails off as much as possible then soak then in acotone nail polish remover she is dumb!
I always soked them in finger nail polish remover for a good 5 min or so and then they just came right off. Hope you get them off.
I would try to soak them in all the acetone that you have and then if worse comes to wrose you can always file them down or rip them off.....it will prob hurt and ruin your nails but if your that desperate.cosmetics
