Fake nails for nail biters?

so i bite my nails kinda bad and i really want to stop. so i want to get fake nails cuz if my nails look nice i won't bite them. so is there any kind of fake nails that i can get that i don't have to keep going in for matinence? and also don't cost a fortune? like ones that grow out and as they grow i cut them and eventually it's just my real nails?

No, unfortunately there are no artificial nails that don't require upkeep. I wish there were! Have you tried the No Bite nail polish? It tastes bad really, so when you put your nails in your mouth you take them right out. Or, try thinking about all of the nasty germs that are are your fingers and under your nails.Fake nails for nail biters?
this might sound weird but try taking a daily multivitamin. it helped with my nails, they became much stronger so i rarely bit my nails because they were so strong and ripping them was no longer an option. also a couple of clear base coats work good, the taste is nasty, thus you won't want to stick your nails near your mouth. otherwise they do solar nails, which is still like $30/month. it's a hard gel they put on your nails so they look like acrylics but aren't, it's actually your real nail, just reinforced with the thick gel.


best of luck! when you feel like biting your nails why don't you pop a gum to chew? try that. its all about misdirection.
instead of fake nails try just painting your nails.I was a really bad nail biter. But then I start painting my nails. and the nail polish taste really bad when you try to bit your nails. so I stop. EUREKA. Beautiful nails. Just make sure when your nail polish start to chip,repaint asasp. Beacause if you dont. Yall start picking at the nail under it and chip your real nails!!!
i wouldn't suggest regular nailpolish because a chronic nail-biter like yourself would just bite them anyway because after a day or two that nailpolish taste goes away. however there is this nailpolish that tastes beyond nasty. its extremely gross and it will stop you from biting your nail for sure. i don't remember what it's called but you can find it in the nail care aisle at CVS, Walmart, Target ...





if you're more interested in pretty nails instead of a cure, you'd be better off just sticking to DIY press on nails. There will be more maintenance than if you got your nails done at a salon, simply because they're liable to pop off and with cheaper brands, french tips and designs wear off depending on how much you do things with your nails brushing against other things. but instead of having to pay 20 dollars for a manicure that you'll have to pay get touched up every week or so you can pay 5 dollars for maybe two sets? that will take you a few minutes to put on and a few seconds to reattach a nail here or there.





also, with fake nails, you cant just keep them on until they grow out because itll cause your natural nail to break and beyond that, they end up looking extremely grody after a month or so when the glue starts wearing out
they have a nail polish that is supposed to be especially made for people who bite their nails. it supposedly tastes really bad
