How do I remove fake nails without going back to the salon?
rip them off easily . I had to soak mine for a long time.
Acetone will work
nail polish remover with a high acetone level. pour some in a glass bowl and let your nails soak for several minutes. it will weaken the acrylic.

seriously though, it will still hurt a bit to rip them off. be really gentle and patient. it is better to go to a salon if you can.
soak in acetone polish remover,( NOT in a plastic bowl), after cutting them down as close to your own nails as possible. be prepared for really weak nails. all the best...nail tech.
soak in gently soft scented warm water. Mabey some epson salt depending how much the glue is put on. I dont wear nails often, but that wil get them off. I find it helpfull. Please see if u can help me
Best bet is go to the salon. They know how to remove them without damaging the nail and without pain.

Do it yourself and it probably will hurt some and you damage the nail.
Water or polish remover will not work or do anything to soak the nails off.

Use pure acetone only. Pour some in a glass bowl and soak. Soak for about 20 minutes. Without removing the nails from the acetone start scraping with an orange wood stick. Soak and scrape some more until it's all off. You must keep the nails in the acetone because if you remove them the product will start to set up again.

You can use a very fine grit buffer afterwards to smooth your rough nails.

If you have acrylics with a gel overlay then you will have to file the top of the nail to break the gel seal otherwise no amount of soaking will do anything to the product.
Soak them in acetone, you can get that from a salon store. Also buy a cuticle pusher backer thing. Soak your nails in the acetone until they start to dissolve, then use the cuticle thing to pry them off. Repeat until they come off pretty easily, it will hurt a little, but that is pretty much what they will do at the salon.
Well at the salon they soak your nails. What you do is take a couple of cotton balls, aluminum foil and nail polish remover. Rap the Aluminum foil around each finger with the cotton ball on top of your nail but put a ton of nail polish remover on the cotton ball. Then just sit for a couple of hours. The nail polish will eat away at the acrylic.

Or just pick and peal them off!
Soak your fake nails in pure 100% acetone. It is EXTREMELY flammable so be VERY careful. When the fake nails get soft, gently peel off the tip. If the whole tip doesn't come off, soak it again until the tips get soft enough to peel completely off. This is how the salon does it. You may have to use a metal nail file to pry the tip and filler completely off your regular nail, but be careful that you don't damage your natural nail.
soak in acetone
Nail Polish Remover with Acetone should do the trick, Just soak your nails in it.
